more winter festival gigs please...

I spend most of the year living for the summer months, when I can festival hop around the country spoilt with the choice of a million and one bands to jump around to. I always look forward to XFM's Winterwonderland, where I know I can grab a slice of this indie loving fun in one place, albeit under cover but at least its warm. This year we were spoilt with the gorgeous homosapians.. The Maccabees. LOVE. Kaiser chiefs headlined but I'd of prefered the other way around... The Horror's had to cancel but Ben Howard did an acoustic set and the Tribes were tip top...The Manics also did a surprise set.. yes we were spoilt! I felt like I was back in the muddy fields, flowers in my hair and covered in face paint. Only the reality kicks in when you have to step outside in the freeezing cold for a sneaky nicotine hit!
