American Apparel Flew Market sweats.

In a moment of madness, and being the biggest bargain hunter out there thought I should join the Shoreditch sheep and follow the crowd to the AA flea market put on over the last few days at the Truman Brewery. So on my second attempt i finally made it through the blessed doors of the dalston-ites mecca (my first attempt failed when i saw the length of the que on Thurs- opening day) and I returned on Friday morning at 9am. I felt nice and smug with no que there- hah!

Once through the doors my smugness soon turned to fear as i saw the mile long que to the tils already formed... had these people camped over night i wonder?
I hit the rails and was pleasantly surprised by the goods on sale, i whipped out a tarten skirt that will look fab with a tutu under, a black man shirt with high neck buttons, a fabulous spotty skirt and the winner of all... a zebra print lycra leotard! Now the generic leotard will be seen all over now im sure, but i'm not going to throw the leggings on underneath to create a sausage skin, no thank you! i'll be rocking mine with a fabulous skirt fo sho! Not forgetting the finishing touches... the tights with split colour legs and dogtooth. OH WOW!

Jane Fonda special

After a good hour of rifling i joined the que with what seemed to be the only sized medium/large ladies garments i could find, oh the size 6's out there are going to be american apparelled up until the year 2020! The mix of emotions could not have been more extreme, with a group of teenagers behind me (HELP) and the people in front forgetting their personality that morning I held onto the fact that I'd saved a bomb and made the AA just that little bit richer, and might even be in with the kids now! Glorious!
