His n Hers dressing! The Kooples

I really don't know whether I'm a lover or hater of The Kooples clothes brand that has popped up lately.
The ethos is on dressing in harmony for you and your beloved better half. Probably more for the girls who live in fear at what their boyfriends will turn up wearing when they have'nt been around to style them!
SNAP! look what I wore today!

Oh so nausitatingly trendy I loved the sharp tailoring and urban lines they have throughout their collection, its all about the swagger! The French Brand teamed up with trusty Saville Row to make sure they hit the mark, who would have know the English would teach Paris a thing or two about Fashion.. What beautiful couples they use- I assume they trawled brick lane and what not to find the best looking couples, dragged them to their shop and gave them a whole heap of free clothes- as strangely enough I do not think these couples usually buy their entire wardrobe from one store only!
Just when I'm swaying towards love for the brilliant branding, the videos are a little too cool for school, making me cringe to a degree yet still wish I was rolling around at the back of the taxi with my other half in matching clothes!

Just your average sarah and john walking down the street.

Lo-Fi-Fnk.. Why have I never loved these before?

Still in the shadows on my sunday night hangover on Monday evening, I pulled my self out of the pit of soap opera hell and trotted the few steps to the shaklewell arms in Dalston. A little embaressingly I have never been here before, considering its a stones throw from my front door but was lured in with the promise of seeing my lovely friends, my friends new date and his huge hair and a the band Lo-Fi-Fnk.

Now I came without any pre-conceptions as 1) have never been to shackewell arms and 2) have never seen  Lo- Fi-Fnk. But to my delight, I found out they were swedish (bringing back the days of my obsession with the swedes, my teach yourself swedish book and my trip to sweden in search of all things blonde). And they were practically the happiest 3 peice I've seen in a while. I mean really happy. Estatic! The 2 front dudes had the chemistry of an electric circus, so good to see, there were no boundaries here as contact was given out on impulse. me like. Their electro pop beats, made me feel like I should be dancing the calypso on acid, always a winner!

American Apparel Flew Market sweats.

In a moment of madness, and being the biggest bargain hunter out there thought I should join the Shoreditch sheep and follow the crowd to the AA flea market put on over the last few days at the Truman Brewery. So on my second attempt i finally made it through the blessed doors of the dalston-ites mecca (my first attempt failed when i saw the length of the que on Thurs- opening day) and I returned on Friday morning at 9am. I felt nice and smug with no que there- hah!

Once through the doors my smugness soon turned to fear as i saw the mile long que to the tils already formed... had these people camped over night i wonder?
I hit the rails and was pleasantly surprised by the goods on sale, i whipped out a tarten skirt that will look fab with a tutu under, a black man shirt with high neck buttons, a fabulous spotty skirt and the winner of all... a zebra print lycra leotard! Now the generic leotard will be seen all over now im sure, but i'm not going to throw the leggings on underneath to create a sausage skin, no thank you! i'll be rocking mine with a fabulous skirt fo sho! Not forgetting the finishing touches... the tights with split colour legs and dogtooth. OH WOW!

Jane Fonda special

After a good hour of rifling i joined the que with what seemed to be the only sized medium/large ladies garments i could find, oh the size 6's out there are going to be american apparelled up until the year 2020! The mix of emotions could not have been more extreme, with a group of teenagers behind me (HELP) and the people in front forgetting their personality that morning I held onto the fact that I'd saved a bomb and made the AA just that little bit richer, and might even be in with the kids now! Glorious!
